Ticket to Ride is a strategic board game for 2 to 5 players ages 8 years to adults - great for families and game-loving grown ups. Connect iconic North American cities across a beautifully illustrated map of early 20th-century USA and build your train routes to earn points.
Players collect train cards that enable them to claim railway routes connecting cities throughout the country - the longer the routes, the more points they earn. Additional points come to those who can fulfill their Destination Tickets and to the player who builds the longest continuous railway. The game is different each time you play, and it's easy to learn and get the hang of within 15 minutes of play. The author of the game says 'The rules are simple enough to write on a train ticket – each turn you either draw more cards, claim a route, or get additional Destination Tickets'.The average play time is 30 to 60 minutes. You can even play with or against Alexa, and use her to help explain the rules too!The board and playing cards are beautifully illustrated and the train pieces are made with moudled plastic in various bright colours. A good set of instructions are included, and it all comes in a sturdy game box.
