Elmer has been a children's favourite since first published in 1989 and is still entertaining little ones and their parents today. This is his first adventure as the patchwork elephant who was different to all the other elephants in his herd. Elmer brought happiness to his fellow elephants with his bright colours, but he wanted to be the same as all of them.
But when he tries to hide his colours and belnd in, he realises that there is something missing and that the jungle is no longer a happy place.
The story of Elmer is a great way for children to learn how being different is to be celebrated and to be proud of.
Fun colours to point and talk about, jungle animals to identify and talk about, and a lovely little story ideal for ages 2 to 5 year olds.
Paperback book measures 24cm by 28cm and includes a CD in which Joss Ackland reads the story of Elmer. A great way to bring the story alive and listen on a journey or at bedtime.
Written and illustrated by British author David McKee.
