Thrapston Farmers Market
Along with three other volunteers, Mrs Jollys founded the market in 2014 and still acts as Chair of the committee and plays a key role in the running of it. The market takes place right outside the shop on Thrapston High Street on the first Saturday of each month. All proceeds from the market go to Thrapston charities, groups and projects which benefit residents, visitors and businesses in the town
The Arthur Souster Trust
Mrs Jollys is Clerk and Trustee of this Thrapston-based charity. The Trust supports local causes, particularly Souter Youth which provides social, emotional and spiritual support to young people in North Northamptonshire. This is through work in schools, churches and its own youth groups based just around the corner from Jollys
Fundraising Tribute Nights
Each year, Mrs Jollys runs at least one tribute night at the Plaza in Thrapston, hosting professional live acts including ABBA Sensation and Take That Live. The money raised from the events goes to Souster Youth and tickets are sold through the shop. Keep an eye on our social media for news of upcoming events
Thrapston Christmas Festival
Mrs Jollys helps to organise this key event in the community calendar each year. It takes place on High Street, right outside the shop, on the last Saturday of November. Live music, local performers, food stalls, fair rides and plenty of festive activities are offered for all ages, finishing with the switching on of the town's Christmas lights. Mrs Jollys has helped to organise and support the event for 10 years
The decision was made in October 2023 that Jollys will no longer offer prizes and sponsorship of events and raffles. For over 10 years we donated 100s of prizes to the value of £1000s. In order to manage our giving sensibly, we now focus on the projects detailed above, all of which take a good deal of time and resources, give generously and benefit many local people.

Jollys is a real life toy shop based in the market town of Thrapston, Northamptonshire. In 2023 we celebrated 10 years of Jollys!
In store and online, you'll find plenty of unusual gifts for babies, children and teens which are hard to find in the big shops. We work hard to find goodies which strike a balance between having old fashioned values which encourage creativity, imagination and discovery, but that also capture the interest of today's children.
Our shop is in a charming listed building built in the 1700s, with a characterful bay window as though straight from a Dickens novel. Inside is small but magical, crammed to the rafters with delights. Our quirky displays and low level pocket money toy boxes are a delight for all to see. If you pick something out from the very top shelves we'll get out our ladders and fetch it down for you. Toys and games surround you and newcomers marvel at the range we display.
Jollys is owned and run by Charlotte Croser who you will find in the shop most days. She has worked in children's retail for much of her working life, has lots of experience with children and is passionate about offering a lovely experience which goes the extra mile for customers. Lucy and Lisa are essential members of the team too, having been a part of Jollys since the beginning in 2013. We look forward to welcoming you!
