This is a Noah’s Ark memory game for young children featuring a big 3-D ark to post your animal pairs into. When you've found all the pairs, find the rain cloud to make the ark sail away!
This game is great for encouraging observation and memory skills and is a lot of fun to boot. Play with 2 to 4 players. Suggested ages 3 to 6 years old.To play, place the ark in the centre of the table, and put the two rain cloud cards to one side. The animal cards are divided into two identical piles (each pile containing one of each animal). One set of animal cards, along with both the rain cloud cards, is spread face downwards on the table. The other pile is divided between all the players, who place the cards face upwards in front of them. Players take it in turn to turn over one of the cards on the table and try to match it with on of the animals in front of them. If they can, that pair of cards is posted into the ark and play moves to the next player. However, if it doesn't match any of that player's animals, the card is returned face down to the same position on the table and the next player takes their turn.Once a player has posted all their animal pairs into the ark they must try to find a raincloud on their next turns, at which point they can post the raincloud, send the ark out and win the game! There are many other ways of expanding the play value of this game - the cards can be used as a simple 'pairs' memory game, or children can be encouraged to name the animals and talk about them - where they live, what sounds they make, what colours they are. The game is made of sturdy recycled board, so will last for many years, and children will love the cheerful illustrations and bright colours.Jollys says "Customers have told us about their fond memories of playing this game when their children were young, so we had to bring it on board! Young children love animals, and posting the cards into the ark is a great fun activity which makes the game extra interactive!"
